  • How to apply for Erasmus+ study stay

    1. Partner University Nomination: First, the home university nominates its students via the Charles University online nomination form (available in the CU InfoSheet).

    2. Application Process: Once the nomination is accepted, the Erasmus+ coordinator of the CU Faculty of Social Sciences contacts the student with more information about the application process, including course selection, deadlines, academic calendar etc.

To be accepted, all students must fill in the CU Online Application form and send all required documents to the email address documents.erasmus@fsv.cuni.cz within the respective deadline.

    Required documents:

    1. CU Online Application + Learning Agreement - signed by the student and the home university coordinator
    2. latest Transcript of Grades
    3. English level confirmation: B2 or higher (official international language certificate, or confirmation of student's language skills issued by the home university)
  • Nomination & application DEADLINES for 2026/2027

    Nomination deadlines for partner universities:

    winter semester:15 April 2026
    summer semester:15 September 2026

Note on nominations for partner universities:

    • If our IIA grants two full-year student mobilities (defined as 2 x 10 months), four semester-based student mobilities (4 x 5 months) can be accepted, provided that they are split equally in the semester, identical to two students staying for a full academic year. We reserve the right to accept a maximum of two incoming students for the winter semester in cases where the IIA is defined as 2 × 10 months. This measure allows us to manage enrolment more effectively and to ensure adequate access to courses for all incoming students.
    • If our IIA allows for four semester-based student mobilities (defined as 4 × 5 months), this quota can be used flexibly, provided that the nominations are distributed across the academic year. For example, instead of nominating four students for the winter semester only, we ask that the same quota be used as 2:2, 1:3, or 3:1 (winter : summer semester).

CU Online Application form: filled in and submitted by:

    winter semester:15 May 2026
    summer semester:15 October 2026

Required documents must be sent to documents.erasmus@fsv.cuni.cz by:

    winter semester:31 May 2026 (visa-seeking students)
     30 June 2026 (non-visa students)
    summer semester:30 September 2026 (visa-seeking students)
     31 October 2026 (non-visa students)

More information about the application process can be found on the university website.

Once the student's nomination is accepted via email, the Application Process Guide will be updated here (and will be sent via email).

Learning agreement

The Learning Agreement (LA) is a fundamental document recognising your studies at the receiving university. It includes courses that are preliminary agreed to be accomplished during your mobility.

All Erasmus+ students heading to the CU Faculty of Social Sciences must follow the rules below.

Course selection rules at FSV UK:

  • you must only select courses falling under the class "Courses for Incoming Students",
  • the maximum number of credits is 32 ECTS per semester (the minimum is 20 ECTS as a bachelor-level student and 15 ECTS as a master-level student),
  • 51% of courses MUST be from the CU Faculty of Social Sciences as your host faculty at Charles University,
  • only 1 sports course is allowed per semester and MUST be included in the Learning Agreement (approved by the home university .

Please be aware that the courses in your Learning Agreement are not guaranteed as the course offer and schedule are not finalised yet at the time of the application period. Students choose courses for their Learning Agreement (LA) from the course catalogue of the previous academic year. The course offer is generally very similar, but some changes in course availability may occur up to the very start of the semester. Some courses might be cancelled, will have limited capacity, etc. You will have enough time during the add/drop period to make changes to your LA.

The final list of courses open to exchange students will be available ca. 2 weeks before the start of the semester so you will have enough time to look for alternatives or make a plan B before you register for courses in SIS

Students considering FSV UK as their Erasmus+ destination are encouraged to review the course catalogue in advance and make sure that they can find enough suitable courses, including alternative options, to support their study plans and meet the study requirements of their home institutions.

At FSV UK, all incoming students register for courses themselves in SIS during the online course registration, which works on a first come, first served basis. We cannot guarantee successful enrolment in all planned courses. LA changes at the beginning of the semester will be necessary. For this reason, students are strongly advised to have some Plan B courses preliminarily approved by their home university as well, outside of their approved LA.

Due to the open policy and interdisciplinarity of the faculty, our students can take courses across the fields and disciplines; a flexibility that is generally welcomed both by partner universities and the incoming students. Although this can cause some overcrowding for popular courses and long waiting lists, we know from experience that the sufficiently long add/drop period following the official course registration allows most students to secure the courses they need and obtain the required ECTS, although some flexibility on the part of the student and the home institution may be necessary.

Online/Digital Learning Agreement (OLA/DLA) - EWP Dashboard

If your home university uses an EWP platform (e.g., EWP Dashboard, MobilityOnline, SoleMove etc.), fill in the Learning Agreement there and note the email incoming@fsv.cuni.cz as the contact and responsible person at the receiving institution.

Once your home university signs it, we will receive a system notification and sign it from our side.

When you are sending all of the required documents to documents.erasmus@fsv.cuni.cz, please mention in the email that you have filled in an OLA/DLA in the online system so that we can fully process your application without any delays.
